Imagine a world where every window in our cities generates clean electricity without sacrificing natural light. 🏙️✨

Proud to see our team's work at Functional Materials and Energy Devices Research Group at UCL Institute for Materials Discovery featured in The Engineer UK! We’ve developed semi-transparent perovskite solar cells that achieve record-breaking indoor light conversion efficiency while maintaining a 30% sunlight transmission rate.

By engineering the perovskite layer to minimise defects and optimising electrode design, these cells unlock exciting possibilities for:
🏢 Building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV)
🚗 Solar-powered vehicle glass
📱 Next-generation flexible and wearable devices

A huge congratulations and thank you to our brilliant research team particularly Siming Huang and our grroup collaborators, Dr Tariq Sajjad and Dr Rebecca L. Milot for pushing the frontiers of functional materials and sustainable energy together! 🌍⚡
